Condition of use
Any items downloaded from pointindex are from pointindex content and are from his property and can be used in your private or commercial projects as you needed. If they are labled "Editorial Uses" please check out the guidelines for Editorial Uses.
Our limitations for usage of our models are:
- Content can not be sold, distributed, redistributed in original format or other format, assigned, transferred, or exported separately if the items permit so;
- Content can be modified as you need, however any such modifications are still derivatives of the original format, and can not be sold or distributed as your own;
- Content can be used in following situations: it was bought from pointindex site; it is free and was downloaded from pointindex, it was granted to you by pointindex for promotional or other purposes.
The following are unauthorized uses that are explicitly prohibited:
- Competition. You may NOT use 3D Models in a way that competes with the Site, including distributing through 3D Model Clearinghouses. You may NOT publish, distribute, or make 3D Models available through any online clearinghouse infrastructure. You may not redistribute 3D Models as part of any design template, After Effects template, stock photography, video or clip art for distribution or licensing through any online stock media clearinghouse whatever.
- Re-Distribution. You may NOT re-distribute, or make 3D Models available to any third party.
- Group Buying. You may NOT aggregate funds to Purchase 3D Models with one or more other parties. An example of this prohibited use is a website membership where members pool their money to make a single Purchase that is shared by the members of the group. Each such member must Purchase individually.
- No Obscene or Unlawful Use. You may NOT use 3D Models for any defamatory, harassing, pornographic, obscene, or racist purpose, or to infringe any party’s Depicted Intellectual Property rights.
- False Attribution. You may NOT misrepresent yourself as the creator of 3D Models.
Editorial Uses
3D Models designated with the Editorial Use label may only be used in an editorial manner, relating to events that are newsworthy or of public interest, or an academic manner, relating to teaching purposes, scholarship, and research, and may not be used for any commercial, promotional, advertising or merchandising use. In certain very limited instances, you may otherwise have the rights to Depicted Intellectual Property in content that is labeled Editorial. For instance, you may be the advertising agency for a brand/IP owner or you may be the brand/IP owner itself purchasing content. If that is the case, you may use the 3D Models with the Editorial content commercially under the standard terms of the 3D Model License, assuming you have the rights clearance through other means. But you must have all the intellectual property rights necessary from the IP in the 3D Models and this is usually only the case for the vendor of a brand/IP or for a brand/IP owner itself. If you are unsure wether you have these rights or not, you probably do not have them. The burden and risk of confirming these rights is on you if you Purchase 3D Models. It’s solely your responsibility how you determine to use the Items from pointindex, if you have any other party consent, clearance or release to use any other party intellectual property in your projects.
Types of Editorial Uses Not Allowed
- Advertising. No advertisement productions (video, print, other), billboards, tradeshow or any other exhibit displays, etc.
- Merchandising. Products may not be used on any physical item/product for re-sale, such as a video game, t-shirt, or toys. Under no circumstances can you print or sell a 3D printed model with Depicted Intellectual Property or an Editorial Use label.

- Branding. No incorporation or implementation into a logo, trademark or service mark. For instance, you can’t use "Editorial Use" content to create a logo design.
- Commercial Purpose. No commercial, non-news related purpose.
- Modification. A 3D Model with an Editorial Use label may not be modified so that it no longer contains Depicted Intellectual Property.
Types of Editorial Uses Allowed

- Official Licensee: You may have an explicit written license contract with the owner of the depicted IP that allows you any or all uses in the 3D Model License, depending on the details in your contract.
- Broadcast, Online or Print News. Examples include a news broadcast using a 3D Model of a Marvel Super Hero with an Editorial Use label when describing box office numbers for a new blockbuster.
- Documentary. An example is a Boeing documentary using a 3D Model of a Boeing Plane with an "Editorial Use" label which discusses the impact of Boeing planes and services and their role in the aviation industry.
- Educational Uses. For instance, in a context of an educational institute and a high school technology teacher is using a 3D Model of a Disney princess with an "Editorial Use" label during a class discussion of animation and movement. Warning
Please be aware of the fact, that these are not real objects. You get digital assets (no, not Crypto or something). These are exclusive 3D models, houses, tools and much more in the future. You will probably end up doing much cooler things with these bad boys here than I do. So have fun and let us know if we can improve on anything. Thanks
